Known for its thousands of miles of sandy beaches and excellent climate, Alicante is one city that many tourists long to visit each year. For example there is the St. Anthony’s Day that falls on the 17th of January, Alicante Carnival that celebrates a colorful end. March through April, we have Easter and Santa Faz and in July through August, there is the Jazz Festival, Summer Festival and the Feast of Assumption celebrations that fall on the 15th of August every year. While traveling to Alicante, be sure to visit the three famous museums in the city. The Casa de Asegurada contains 20th century artworks by artists like Miro, Gris and Picasso. The Archaeological Museum located in the municipal hall has large collections of Bronze and Classical antiquities. Items from the annual fire festivals can be found at the Fireworks Museum located in the Santa Barbara Castle. While you are still in the spirit of travel, take the Mountain Train and traverse the mountain tunnels, bridges and the get to experience the fantastic views of the surroundings of this two millennia old city. All in all, Alicante is a great place to unwind and to have a travel adventure. This region in Spain is known to host a number of celebrities and you might just get a chance to meet some of them.
